Investors are betting on long-term story in the Indian telecom space, says BofAML

Vodafone Idea’s Rs 25,000 crore rights issue which closed yesterday is oversubscribed. According to sources the issue oversubscribed with demand of over Rs 26,900 crore where the promoters have committed Rs 18,250 crore. Also, the retail portion is fully subscribed while the institutional portion is oversubscribed. CNBC-TV18’s Nisha Poddar caught up with Raj Balakrishnan from Bank of America Meryll Lynch who ran this right issue.
