Movies on Netflix and other streaming services will still be able to compete in the Oscars next year.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences voted to leave a key rule on eligibility unchanged.
The rule allows such films to be considered for an Oscar as long as they have been screening for at least 7 days in a Los Angeles theatre.
