A federal judge imposed a life sentence on the self-described neo-Nazi who killed Heather Heyer.
James Fields crashed his car into a crowd of counterprotesters in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Weeks before the attack, he posted an image on Instagram showing a car plowing through a crowd.
The judge stated the release of the self-proclaimed neo-Nazi to free society would be “too great a risk.”
22 year old Fields was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole, according to Reuters.
