Government data shows nearly 65 percent of elderly Koreans want to work until the age of 73.
Statistics Korea conducted a survey in May on just under 14 million Koreans aged 55 to 79.
The desired retirement age from last year's survey was 72.
More than 60 percent of the respondents cited living expense as the reason for job hunting, far exceeding pleasure of working, which stood at 33 percent.
