Meanwhile, President Moon Jae-in is has called for political unity... to effectively deal with the ongoing trade spat.
President Moon held a luncheon today at the Blue House... with around a dozen members of the ruling Democratic Party of Korea.
According to Blue House Spokesperson Ko Min-jung,... the president said,.... it's important to give hope and confidence to the people through cooperation among the parties at a time like this.
He pointed out that global organizations like the IMF and OECD are asking why South Korea is not injecting more funds.... despite its solid finances,... and reiterated the importance of the extra budget.
Floor leader Lee In-young also said..., he was disappointed in the lack of progress on the budget,... and promised his party's full support for the budget.
