DoorDash Changes Its Pay Model After Being Accused Of Stealing Tips

DoorDash CEO Tony Xu said the company is changing its pay model after receiving customer and worker complaints. According to Business Insider, the company was accused of stealing tips to workers from customers. Xu said: “We built a pay model to prioritize transparency, consistency of earnings, and to ensure all customers get their food as fast as possible.” He said the current model would transfer the tips toward a worker’s base pay rather than as a bonus.
