Resident shows extent of flooding in Scottish neighbourhood following heavy downpours

Heavy rain led to localised flash flooding in East Ayrshire, Scotland, yesterday (July 28).
Footage shows a flooded neighbourhood in Kilmarnock, one of the areas most affected and where power supplies were cut off.
The filmer told Newsflare: ''We piled the sandbags up high and covered the doors with blocks of polystyrene and everything is fine now.'
''This is the worst it has ever been in 22 years. It used to flood a bit but never to this extent.''
