Wild python climbs parked bike and appears to dance

This is the stunning moment a wild python climbed a parked bike and put on a spectacular show.

The 12-foot-long snake took fancy to a bike, which was parked on the roadside in Bidadi in southern India on August 24.

It climbed the vehicle, held its body in the air and swayed for nearly 15 minutes.

Local residents soon gathered around the bike to enjoy the show. They even stopped a few people who tried to get the python off the vehicle with long sticks.

Forest officials were informed and they rescued the snake.

Noted Indian snake expert Subhendu Mallik ruled out the idea that the snake was dancing.

“The snake probably climbed the bike thinking it was a tree. It just lifted its head to find a branch to climb further,” he said.

“Indian rock python is a prolific climber. It can be often spotted on tree branches,” he added.
