MANILA - Sen. Grace Poe on Wednesday said she is alarmed with reports that bomb-making has become a business in Mindanao. Speaking to ANC, Poe said she has received reports that "it is very easy now to get bomb making materials in some parts of Mindanao." "It has become a business for some groups. Not necessarily connected with a particular rebel group," she added. "It has become a concern. We need to get to the bottom of this and not take it lightly." Poe said today's Senate hearing on the bomb attacks in Mindanao is meant to come up with meaningful legislation and examine whether current laws are still relevant in addressing today's needs. According to Poe's office, Interior and Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas, Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption Chairman Dante Jimenez, and Mrs. Imelda Agustin, wife of one of the victims, have confirmed their attendance to today's Senate hearing.
