Machida KOs Munoz in UFC Fight Night 30

MANILA, Philippines – Lyoto “The Dragon” Machida knocked out his friend and training partner, Mark “The Filipino Wrecking Machine” Muñoz in the main event of UFC Fight Night 30. Machida threw an efficient left head kick to put Muñoz away at the 3:10 mark of the first round. Muñoz was supposed to meet Michael Bisping for Fight Night, but the Englishman pulled out of the bout due to ongoing eye issues. Machida, who was slated for Tim Kennedy next month, was then paired with Muñoz. With the win, Machida improved his record to 20 wins and four losses, while Muñoz dropped to 13-4.
