Hostage-taker jumps 4 floors, survives fall

MANILA - A man who took hostage his own family last January 6 tried to escape by jumping from the fourth floor of the Quezon City hall of justice Wednesday morning. Initial radio DZMM reports said suspect Gerry Lo, 22, of Barangay Santa Teresita, Quezon City, was scheduled for inquest Wednesday when he tried to jump out of the fourth floor of the QC hall of justice. Lo survived the fall after he fell on top of the QC hall of justice multi-purpose cooperative on the ground floor. He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital. Chief Superintendent Richard Albano confirmed Lo took hostage 4 people inside their home along Halcon Street in Barangay Sta. Teresita.
