'Revival of Bataan nuclear power plant depends on PNoy'

Energy Secretary Jericho Petilla says the government is looking at the Bataan nuclear power plant as an alternative source of energy. He says using energy from the Bataan plant may reduce power costs by P0.25 to P0.35 per kilowatt hour. However, he says the revival of the nuclear power plant, which has been mothballed for decades, will ultimately be decided by President Aquino. The Bataan nuclear power plant is exactly 30 years old today. It had its first major project milestone on May 28, 1984, when it produced electricity for the first time. ANC News Now, May 28, 2014
