S. Korea wins WTO dispute with Japan over pneumatic valve duties

The World Trade Organization sided with South Korea on Monday over its dispute over anti-dumping duties on Japanese pneumatic valves.
The WTO adopted its appellate body's report that South Korea's anti-dumping duties against Japan do not violate WTO rules.
Japanese pneumatic valves, which are used in the auto industry and electronics sectors, account for 70 percent of total pneumatic valve imported to South Korea.
In 2015, South Korea decided to impose anti-dumping duties on Japanese pneumatic valves over the course of five years.
In 2016, Japan challenged the measure at the WTO's dispute settlement body.
