5th S. Korea-U.S. Alliance Dinner held in Seoul on Thursday

An event to mark the 44th Military Committee Meeting and the 51st Security Consultative Meeting was held in Seoul on Thursday.
High-level officials including Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon and military personnel from South Korea and the U.S. took part in the 5th South Korea-U.S. Alliance Dinner.
"The South Korea-U.S. alliance has developed in a reciprocal and comprehensive way. The bilateral alliance has contributed to maintaining peace in South Korea. I firmly believe that recent security related issues will also be resolved in a fair and reasonable way."
Prime Minister Lee added that the South Korea-U.S. alliance should be more future-oriented.
President Moon Jae-in sent a congratulatory message, saying the two country's alliance formed in blood has become stronger.
Defense Minister Jeong Kyeong-doo added that the ministry will continue to harmonize the roles and responsibilities of the joint forces.
