Delayed product launches to cover up for inventory, says Martin Schwenk of Mercedes India

Mercedes-Benz continues to follow up with its promise of one new product launch every month. Today the company launched its new GLC SUV in India with prices starting at Rs 52.75 lakh for the petrol variant going up to Rs 57.75 lakhs for the diesel. This is the first product from the company to get the Mercedes-Benz user experience or MBUX system which is a voice enabled AI-based assistant. Areeb Sherwani spoke with Martin Schwenk, MD & CEO at Mercedes India and asked him about the company's performance in the midst of a slowdown and investment plans going ahead.
