Leon Redbone - Marie (1975), a Tribute to Leon's first LP and Grey Gardens (1975)

One of my favorite tracks off the now late, great Leon Redbone's first LP, On The Track (1975). Somehow, it seemed fitting to use "Marie" as mood music for one of my favorite all time documentary films, Grey Gardens, which was shot the same year Leon's first album was released. I did two Grey Gardens videos last year to the music of John Coltrane, but it was swarmed by haters using their usual "dislike mob" tactics. Comments were overwhelmingly positive despite the hate attacks so I did intend to continue to produce more Grey Gardens videos. A bit late with this, the third video, but it is properly done as a tribute to both the late Leon Redbone and to Grey Gardens' Big and Little Edie. For the exception of the dance sequence near the end, I allow the acoustics from the film to be heard as it oddly seems to complement the music (as was the case with the John Coltrane songs). RIP Leon, one of the first artists I did a video for on YouTube, "Shine On Harvest Moon."
