US Army - Moving the Big Guns!

How do soldiers get the big guns from point A to B? They get airborne! This is called a sling-load operation. A sling load is the fastest way to get supplies or heavy equipment where they’re most needed.

These soldiers assigned to Bulldog Battery, Field Artillery Squadron, 2nd Cavalry Regiment, are sling-loading M777 howitzers to CH-47 Chinook helicopters in preparation for a training event at Grafenwoehr Training Area in Germany.
