Study: PFAS 'Forever' Chemicals Are Carcinogenic

Researchers say PFAS - or per- and polyflouroalkyl substances - are called 'forever chemicals' for a reason.
And now, they want to call them for what they are: carcinogens.
According to UPI, a new study suggests these ubiquitous chemicals increase the risk for cancer.
Researchers affiliated with the Environmental Working Group say PFAS alter DNA, compromising the immune system and encouraging cell proliferation.
PFAS have been found in drinking water, soil and in food packaging.
