Reference: In Oakland, California, several thousand students from Berkeley University participated in a demonstration against the Vietnam War. Similar acts also took place at the universities of Chicago, Michigan, Portland and Santa Barbara, but with a smaller participation of adherents. In New York and in Chicago, pacifist students harangued passersby and there were brief skirmishes. Similar acts occurred in Portland, Santa Barbara, Wayne, Colorado and Texas. These demonstrations are held within the framework of the two days called national protest days, the second of which is held today and is expected to be the most active.
