8 rescue dogs 'pray' to Buddhist shrine

This is the adorable moment eight pet dogs all lined up to pray to a Buddhist shrine.

The footage was taken by the priest Surin Katapanyo after he had finished his breakfast and prepared food for the pooches at the temple in Chonburi, eastern Thailand, on March 10.

The video shows different breeds of dogs all pointing their heads and paws to the statue of Buddha.

They are waiting until the preacher Surin finishes praying before heading to the kitchen for their food, which is leftover from the monk's meal.

The priest Surin said the mutts were homeless before he took care of them at the temple.

He said: "I am glad that they are my pets, now. I helped them from their suffering, they are now happily living as temple dogs. They pray with me every day."
