Huge sandstorm wall hits northeastern China

A sandstorm rises like a wall rolls forward like ocean waves in April 3 in Northeastern China.

In the footage captured in Baicheng city, Jilin Province, the sandstorm wall is about 100metres-high against houses. There are people speaking in Chinese behind the camera about the being not sure what is going on and then thinking it’s a sandstorm.

It’s reported that this is the first sandstorm to hit Baicheng this year, moving from north to south, and the intensity was stronger than what’s been monitored over the years.

According to the Baicheng Meteorological Bureau, the sand and dust weather in this area has been reduced in recent years.
