Japanese game designer Toru Iwatani was having a slice of pizza one day in 1980 when he looked at the remainder of the round dough and realised the missing pie-shaped piece looked like an open mouth. That was the inspiration for the iconic video game Pac-Man. Now, 40 years after it came to life in Tokyo, Pac-Man remains one of the most successful arcade games of all time.
