The commanders of India and China’s militaries Saturday held Lieutenant General-level talks in their first major attempt to resolve the month-long tense situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. The Indian delegation was led by Lt General Harinder Singh, the general officer commanding of Leh-based 14 Corps, while the Chinese side was headed by the Commander of the Tibet Military District, news agency PTI reported. The meeting was scheduled to be held at 8:30 am but was delayed to 11:30 am.

पूर्वी लद्दाख में महीने भर से भारत-चीन के बीच जारी सीमा पर तनाव के बीच दोनों पक्षों की तरफ से लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल स्तर की बातचीत हुई। सीमा पर जारी गतिरोध को खत्म करने के लिए दोनों देशों के बीच ये बड़ी कोशिश है। भारतीय प्रतिनिधिमंडल का नेतृत्व लेह स्थित 14वीं कोर के जनरल कमांडिंग ऑफिसर लेफ्टिनेंट जनरल हरिंदर सिंह ने की। बताया जा रहा है कि चीन की तरफ से तिब्बत मिलिटरी डिस्ट्रिक्ट के कमांडर ने अगुआई की।
