Based on Kerala's Cyanide killer Jolly Amma Thomas. A woman who killed 6 members of her family for property and money.
In Kudathai village of Kozhikode district of Kerala, a family was haunted for 14 years. Between 2002 and 2016, 6 people from the Ponnamattam family died mysteriously.
In 2002, 57-year-old retired school teacher Annamma Thomas suddenly collapsed and died. Her husband Tom Thomas also died 6 years later, who was retired from the education department. Three years later in 2011, his 42-year-old businessman son Roy Thomas allegedly committed suicide. Three years later, Annamma's brother Mathayu Mazzadiel also died. A month later, 2-year-old Alfine Shaju, a relative of the family, died. The last death was in 2016 of Sileen Shaju, Alphine's mother. Going to the details of all these deaths, just one thing was common that during every incident, Roy's wife Jolly Amma was present. By the way, it was often said that she is the beloved daughter-in-law's loving daughter-in-law, caring wife and a religious woman who goes to church regularly.
The case took mode when in June 2019, Jolly's brother-in-law, Rojo Thomas, the husband of her husband, secretly filed a police complaint against him from the US. After the death of his brother Roy Thomas in 2011, he could not believe that Roy would have committed suicide. Apart from this, he also wanted to examine the will prepared by his father in 2008, in which he gave the ancestral house and 35 cent land which is one-third of an acre, in the name of Jolly.

2002 मे 57 वर्षीय रिटायर्ड स्कूल टीचर अन्नाममा थॉमस अचानक गिर पड़ी और उनकी मौत हो गई. उनके 6 साल बाद उनके पति टॉम थॉमस की भी मौत हो गई जो एजुकेशन डिपार्ट्मन्ट से रिटायर्ड थे। तीन साल बाद 2011 मे उनके 42 वर्षीय बिजनस मैन बेटे रॉय थॉमस ने कथित रूप से आत्महत्या कर ली। इसके तीन साल बाद अन्नम्मा के भाई मथयू मैजादिईल की भी मौत हुई। उसके एक महीने बाद इस परिवार की एक रिश्तेदार 2 वर्ष की अल्फाइन शाजु की मौत हो गई। आखिरी मौत 2016 मे अल्फाइन की माँ साइली शाजु की थी। इन सभी मौतों के डीटेल मे जाए तो बस एक बात कॉमन थी की हर घटना के दौरान रॉय की पत्नी जालीअम्मा की मौजूदगी। वैसे उसके लिए अकस्सर ये कहा जाता रहा था की वो सास-ससुर की प्यारी बहु, ध्यान रखने वाली पत्नी और रेगुलरली चर्च जाने वाली एक धार्मिक महिला है।
मामले ने मोड तब लिया जब जून 2019 मे जाली के देवर यानि की पति के भाई रोजो थॉमस ने अमेरिका से अचानक आकार उसके खिलाफ गुप्त रूप से पुलिस ने शिकायत दर्ज कराई। 2011 मे हुई उसके भाई रॉय थॉमस की मौत के बाद से उसको ये यकीन नहीं हो रहा था की रॉय ने आत्महत्या की होगी। इसके अलावा वो 2008 मे अपने पिता द्वारा तैयार की गई वसीयत की भी जांच करवाना चाहता था जिसमे उन्होंने पुश्तैनी घर और 35 सेन्ट जमीन जो की एक एकड़ का एक तिहाई होता है, वो जाली के नाम कर दी थी।
