'Half-Life: Alyx' was released in March, and while it got a mostly-positive response, some Half-Life fans wished it wasn't a VR-only game. And it seems that it's not just fans that think this: according to Geoff Keighley's "interactive storybook" about the game (which is titled 'Half-Life: Alyx - Final Hours') a lot of Valve's employees want a non-VR Half-Life game too!
