The first Arab space mission to Mars blasted off from the Tanegashima Space Centre in southern Japan on July 20, 2020. The launch of the United Arab Emirates spacecraft named Amal, or “Hope”, marks the start of a seven-month journey to the red planet. Video source: AFP/MHI
