‘We want this mountain back’: Sculptors in Myanmar’s marble hills in the grip of big firms

The “marble hills” in Myanmar have given generations of Sagyin’s villagers a livelihood. Many of them have carved out a living from the marble, turning the mines into statues. However, these villagers are worried that they would soon be eliminated from the business, after the government granted swathes of land to firms in China.
