Thousands of GBV cases reported during lockdown

For many of South Africa's vulnerable, lockdown has been a time of intensified fear and trauma. Police Minister Bheki Cele says over 21,000 cases of domestic violence have been reported this year so far. But government's national command centre says it has recorded more than 120,000 cases in the first month of lockdown alone. Rose Gawaya, a gender activist from the Social Policy Network, provides more on this.
