China: Ship crashed on the Yangtze River, dozens of people were missing.
The collision between two ships on the Yangtze River in China left 14 people missing, 1 ship caught fire, 1 ship sunk.

The ship crash at the mouth of the Yangtze River occurred at 3:39 a.m. on August 20 (local time) - the China Daily newspaper quoted information from Shanghai's maritime safety agency. The collision left 14 people missing, 3 people were saved.

The rescue mission to locate the missing 14 people is still ongoing.

According to the authorities, one of the ships, carrying 3,000 tons of gasoline, caught fire after the collision. Another ship carrying sand and rock sank.

The location of the collision was 1.5 nautical miles (2.8 kilometers) southeast of a floating buoy at the mouth of the Yangtze River facing the South China Sea.

The Shanghai Maritime Search and Rescue Center dispatched ships, helicopters and a plane to the scene to search for the missing.
