This Lady Professor Provides Free Food to 100 People Daily in Lahore

Retired professor Maryam Elahi is one of the organizers and also the one who took the first initiative of starting this particular food drive (langar) just outside her house. Almost 100 people here are given free food daily, from 12:30 to 2 PM. In a candid conversation Prof Maryam revealed how she started this food drive almost 1 year ago and how it has grown from serving few people to approximately 100 people daily. She expressed her concerns over how unemployment in the country has increased, and gave her views on how government should work on creating employment opportunities rather than starting their own food drives.
