Short for Game, Show, and Trade, All-Round... G-STAR 2020 opened its doors at Busan Exhibition and Convention Center on Thursday.
But unlike last year, when over 200-thousand fans visited BEXCO to see their favorite developers and the latest games, this year had no fans visiting the show in person.
Instead, everything happening on stage and in G-STAR's studio in Busan is being streamed live via G-STAR TV on Twitch to viewers around the world.
"G-STAR 2020 is our first attempt at a web-based festival celebrating gaming culture. Although we can't meet you offline like before, all of G-STAR 2020 will be available on G-STAR TV online."
Hosted by the Korea Association of Game Industry, the exhibition runs for four days until Sunday.
Main sponsor WeMade on Thursday finally unveiled its highly anticipated "Mir 4", which already had over two and a half million pre-orders before the event.
Other top South Korean game companies taking part include Nexon, Kakao Games, SmileGate, NeoWiz and KraftOn.
Viewers will also be able to enjoy the G-STAR Cup, an E-sports competition, scheduled for Days 2 and 3, and even a Cosplay awards ceremony on Day 4.
