‘Unplanned lockdown’ failed to win Covid-19 battle

India’s coronavirus case count has crossed the 1 crore-mark on December 19 with the addition of 25,153 fresh cases and reached a total of 1,00,04,599. It took India 325 days to cross 1 crore cases. With this, India became the second country after the United States to cross 1 crore coronavirus cases. The Covid-19 death toll has also surged to 1,45,136 after 347 new deaths reported in the past 24 hours.
