Australian Open crowd numbers revealed ahead of February 8 start

A daily crowd limit of 30 000 people has been approved for the first eight days of the tournament and then 25 000 people per day from the quarter finals, an achievement Victoria's Sport Minister Martin Pakula says will see it becoming 'the most significant international event with crowds that the world has seen for many, many months'.
