Since the condom was invented more than 5,000 years ago, male birth control hasn’t changed much. You can blame biology — men produce millions of sperm each day, compared to women, who release just one or two eggs each month — and a lack of funding. But there are some promising lines of research pacing ahead, which might bring a product to the market in the next five to 10 years.
