Naxals release CRPF jawan abducted during Bijapur attack; PM Modi holds crucial Covid-19 meet with CMs; more

CoBRA jawan Rakeshwar Singh Manhas who was kidnapped by the Naxals during Bijapur attack on April 3, has been released by them, the Central Reserved Police Force (CRPF) said on Thursday. The director-general of the CRPF has confirmed that Constable Rakeshwar Singh Manhas has been released and has been taken for a medical check-up. In the other story, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is currently holding a meeting with chief ministers of all states and UTs to take stock of the Covid-19 situation in the country. Union Home Minister Amit Shah asked all states and UTs to accelerate vaccination.
