Rajasthan Royals pacer Chetan Sakariya has been attending to his father, who has tested positive for Covid-19, since returning from the Indian Premier League, which was suspended due to positive Covid-19 cases in the bio-bubbles. Sakariya made an impact on IPL debut after being bought for Rs 1.2 crore. Sakariya said he was informed a couple of days ago that his father had contracted the virus and he has taken over the job of being at the hospital for hours and hours to help his father recover from the infection.

बहुत कठिन दौर से गुजर रहे हैं हम लोग. एक के बाद एक लोग कोरोना से संक्रमित हो रहे हैं. कोरोना की वजह से आईपीएल छीन गया. दुनिया की सबसे बड़ी क्रिकेट लीग पर कोरोना ने ब्रेक लगा दिया. और अब खबर आ रही है कि राजस्थान रॉयल्स के तेज गेंदबाज चेतन सकारिया के पिता कोरोना से जूझ रहे हैं. चेतन सकारिया ने खुद इस बात की खबर दी है. साथ ही उन्होंने राजस्थान रॉयल्स और आईपीएल का शुक्रिया अदा भी किया है. जिसकी वजह से उन्हें आर्थिक तौर पर मदद मिली. पैसे मिले. और अब वो अपने पिता का इलाज करवा रहे हैं. 23 साल के चेतन सकारिया ने इंडियन एक्‍सप्रेस से बातचीत में कहा, 'मैं भाग्‍यशाली हूं क्‍योंकि कुछ दिनों पहले मुझे राजस्‍थान रॉयल्‍स से मेरा हिस्‍सा मिल गया. मैंने तुरंत पैसे घर भेजे और इससे मेरे पिता को सबसे बड़े समय में मदद मिली.' आईपीएल 2021 बबल में कोविड-19 मामले सामने आने के बाद अनिश्चितकालीन समय के लिए स्‍थगित कर दिया गया
