After relaxation for COVID19, stricter enforcement of traffic rules returned on New Year. While many were seen following the rules, it was quite a scene to see the reaction of violators who tried to escape, evade and even come up with excuses.
For the past few months, Odisha Police has been generating awareness regarding new traffic rules under the new Motor Vehicles Act.
Stricter enforcement of traffic rules including mandatory helmet for pillion riders on two-wheelers came into force after the Chairman of the Road Safety Committee of the Supreme Court directed urgent action to curb accidents in the state.
