: "My wife and I decided to start our trip to South Lake Tahoe, CA with a hike. When drove deep in the mountains and went up a one lane, windy road with pot holes everywhere in my Honda Accord. When we finally got to the parking area, I parked in a tight spot next to a SUV. We got out of our car began to walk toward the hiking trails. We were maybe 50 feet away from our car when I spotted a bear crossing the trail. We froze up for a second. Then the bear turned its head, saw us, and began to walk towards us so we ran back to the car. Once we got back in the car, my wife told me to lock the doors but I made fun of her for thinking that bears could open the car handle. She locked the doors anyway. Then we spotted the bear coming toward our car but decided to walk up to the SUV we had parked next to. The Bear then reached and opened the car door by its door handle. Then went into the car and started to look around it. After a few minutes, the bear exited that car and came over to the driver side door of our car. The bear then tried to open the door by its handle. Thank god my wife locked it because the bear was not able to get in. When it could not get in, the bear stood on its hind legs and out its paws on the windows. Then it went to our trunk and start to sniff around it. Then it just left."
