To bring about a social change at the grassroot level, 62-year-old activist Vijay Kumar Katti, a resident of Thane, plans to plant 75,000 indoor trees by August 15, 2021, to mark the diamond jubilee celebration of India's independence.

On the occasion of Van Mahotsav which is celebrated every year between July 1st - July 7th, Kumar urges the people to come forward and take part in 75,000 indoor tree plantation to 'Reduce one CO2 and Produce one O2', an initiative started by Vesac India.

Kumar, a bio-medical engineer, promises to teach the people on how to take care of these indoor plants through a series of videos in collaboration with Karmactive.
