Which Ganesh Idol You Should Not Get

It is Ganeshotsav and time for debate over which ganpati idol to be brought home. Should it be the regular one, made out of Plaster of Paris (POP) or the new trending ones made out of eco-friendly material?
Idols made out of POP surely are attractive looking and stronger, however they are harmful to the makers and the water they are immersed in. It eventually enters the food chain and affects all with multiple health hazards. We always had better options for Ganesh Idols.
In the early days, people didn't have access to POP Ganesh idols. So they used to make Ganesh idols by themselves from clay. It was a very creative and engaging process. They were very fond of the idol because they created it. Their devotion was more personal and divine.
