Sonic Boom: Shattered Crystal will centre around events and lore of the Sonic Boom continuity with exclusive environments and characters. Like its Wii U counterpart, the newly introduced villain Lyric plays as the main antagonist, who kidnaps Amy, presumably for the purpose of using her to find the crystal shards, considering she is the archaeologist of the group.
