The game introduces new characters in addition to the classic Sackboy. Each character has its own special abilities, and can work together to achieve certain objectives. One is a faster character called Oddsock, that can wall-jump. Another is Toggle, a heavier character that can push blocks. Toggle can resize from being the biggest to the smallest (to fit into smaller spaces). Additionally, there is a flying bird character called Swoop that can lift other players.
