Major General Vitaly Gerasimov, Russia's 41st Chief Of Staff Killed In Fighting For Kharkiv, Say Reports

On March 8, reports of the first deputy commander of Russia's 41st army, Major General Vitaly Gerasimov’s killing emerged. The Chief Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine's defence ministry said in a statement that Ukrainian forces have killed the Russian general, reported Reuters. Gerasimov is the second Russian senior commander to die in the invasion. Reportedly, Gerasimov is believed to be the nephew of Russia's top military official. Reportedly, Andrei Sukhovetsky, also a deputy commander of the 41st army, was reportedly killed at the end of February.
