Aarey issue is half genuine and half sponsored: Devendra Fadnavis

Speaking on the controversial Metro car shed project at Mumbai’s Aarey forest was revived by the newly formed Eknath Shinde government in Maharashtra, State Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on July 03 said that Aarey issue is half genuine and half sponsored. “The youngest speaker candidate won the speaker election with 164 votes today as 2 MLAs couldn't come due to health issues. We would prove our majority with 166 votes in tomorrow's vote of confidence,” said Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis. “Aarey issue is half genuine and half sponsored. Work paused after 25 per cent had been completed. Already cost has been escalated by Rs 10,000 crore, the more the delay, the more will cost escalation. This is the only solution to Mumbai’s congestion,” he added.
