Lastminute.com, an official partner of the Tour de France, has decided to honour the “lanterne rouge” (red lantern) of the Tour de France as a reminder that everyone, from the leader to the last-placed rider, must be congratulated. Lastminute.com will, subject to his agreement and that of his team, honour the last-placed rider in the general classification prior to the final stage on July 24th at Paris La Défense Arena. The amount paid to “L’Envol” charity will also be announced, calculated on the time gap between the last rider and Yellow Jersey.

Lastminute.com, partenaire officiel du Tour de France, souhaite mettre à l’honneur la « lanterne rouge » du Tour de France pour rappeler que du premier au dernier coureur, tous doivent être félicités. Lors du départ de la dernière étape, le 24 juillet prochain à Paris La Défense Arena, lastminute.com proposera au dernier coureur du classement général, sous réserve de son accord et de celui de son équipe, d’être mis en avant. À cette occasion sera également annoncé le montant versé à l’association « L’Envol », calculé sur le temps séparant la lanterne rouge du Maillot Jaune.
