Après 24 heures de course sur la Finistère Atlantique - Challenge Action Enfance, les hostilités sont bel et bien lancées tandis que les leaders atteignent déjà les côtes de la péninsule ibérique. Dès les premiers milles en baie de Concarneau, les hommes du Maxi Edmond de Rothschild se sont emparés des commandes de la flotte des Ultims. Mais après une nuit à faire de l’Ouest pour aller chercher des vents plus favorables à l’arrière d’un front, les géants glissent désormais au portant et à hautes vitesses en direction du Sud. L’occasion parfaite pour jauger la concurrence en ce début de saison sportive. Une nouvelle fois, grâce à sa caméra et son œil avisé, Yann Riou, équipier média et barreur de Gitana 17, nous plonge dans les coulisses de la course. Images rares de nuit à découvrir.

From the opening miles of the race in the bay of Concarneau, the men on the Maxi Edmond de Rothschild have been heading the fleet of Ultims. However, after a night of making westing to hunt down more favourable winds at the back of a front, the giants are now slipping along downwind at high speed to the south. The perfect opportunity to size up the competition at the start of the sports season.
