Tamil Nadu Student Suicide: Timeline Of Events

A 12 year old girl in Tamil Nadu killed herself after jumping off from the school building. She left a suicide note in which she accused two teachers of torturing and harassing her. Relatives of the girl protested against the school administration and refused to take back her mortal remains. Soon the incident gathered pace on social media and on July 17 thousands of people protested against the school. The protests turned violent after the mob set school buses on fire and vandalised school property. Following the protest two school teachers were arrested and probe is underway.
