Rajkumari Ratnavati Girls’ School, which is located in Jaisalmer’s Kanoi Village, is located in the middle of the Thar desert. It is built by CITTA a US-based non-profit organisation and its design is a treat for the eyes!
The structure is made of yellow sandstone, has no air-conditioners but is designed in a way as to keep the sun’s harsh rays away.
The oval-shaped building consists of not just a school, accommodating 400 girls, but also a textile museum and performance hall and also an exhibition space for local artisans to sell their crafts
