New report highlights rising rates of women imprisonment

A leading economic think-tank has released a report revealing that the numbers of women being sentenced are growing at a faster rate than men, with most jailed for less offences. CEO with CEDA - the Committee for Economic Development of Australia, Melinda Cilento says if the incarceration rate could be lowered, it could save millions of dollars.
