How Complexity's CS:GO Juggernaut Echoes Their 1.6 Legacy ft. Thorin

In August 2019, Complexity founder and CEO Jason Lake made a now-infamous tweet, stating he was willing to put up the money to bring in the world's best CS:GO players. "Let's build a juggernaut," he said.
The tweet received plenty of backlash, with many claiming it was a harsh public statement in the wake of a loss by the organization's existing roster. It was no surprise then, when the squad Complexity did subsequently build drew quick criticism, failing both on paper and in their first online outings to live up to the "juggernaut" moniker as far as many viewers were concerned.
Since then, however, the new coL has gone above and beyond expectations, and may well be earning that title. This isn't the first time that Complexity has built a juggernaut, however - in fact, back in CS 1.6 they put together such a squad under circumstances that very much echo those of the modern line-up.
In this video, esports historian Duncan 'Thorin' Shields lays out the uncanny similarities between the rise of the new Complexity juggernaut and that of the old.
